We had an amazing time of rest at this magical place called Whidbey Island. An island accessible by ferry ride, just 30 miles north of Seattle. We stayed at the beautiful Inn at Langley and spent most of our days sitting outside on our balcony looking out over Saratoga Passage and watching the morning tide roll out and roll back in the late afternoon. We read books, drank wine, and watched eagles swoop down all afternoon to catch crabs in the water. We left our cozy place at the Inn only to explore the beach front and the peaceful town of Langley, walk the Coupeville Pier, stroll through the lavender fields at Lavender Wind Farm, and take in the views at Deception Pass State Park. It is so rare to find a place so filled with peace and rest. We are so thankful to the owners, Paul & Pam Schell for their warm welcome every morning at breakfast and for allowing us to enjoy this little piece of heaven on Whidbey Island. We will be back as soon as we can.
Here’s a little peek into what we experienced.
